Experienced iGaming and fintech executive joins Cubeia following leadership roles at Checkin.com, Gaming Innovation Group and LeoVegas

Cubeia has announced the appointment of Christian Karlsson as Chief Revenue Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues its international expansion.

Starting August 3, 2026, Karlsson will oversee Cubeia’s revenue strategy, leveraging his extensive background across fintech, identity verification, payments and iGaming.

He joins from Checkin.com, where he held the role of Acting CEO from 2024 to 2025 after serving as Chief Commercial Officer for six years. Karlsson also previously served as CEO of GetID, the group’s biometric identity verification subsidiary.

“Cubeia has had several outstanding years, delivering exceptional growth while building a strong and profitable business. At the same time, I believe there is still tremendous potential ahead,” said Karlsson.

“The opportunity to help lead the commercial organisation through its next phase of growth is incredibly exciting. I look forward to getting to know our customers, partners, and colleagues, and to working together to build an even stronger Cubeia.”

Earlier roles at Gaming Innovation Group and LeoVegas saw Karlsson lead commercial operations, payments and fraud initiatives within the online gaming industry.

“Christian has built and scaled commercial and platform businesses through IPOs, market expansion, and industry change,” said Kim Sandström, Interim CEO of Cubeia.

“His experience across payments, compliance, and partnerships makes him exactly the right person to lead our revenue strategy.”

Karlsson will now focus on expanding Cubeia’s commercial reach while working closely with product and technology teams to support operators across global markets.
