Honoré Gaming has launched Sports Pool, a new sports prediction product aimed at players who may be more accustomed to the simplicity of lottery products than conventional sportsbook wagering.
The new format allows players to predict the outcomes of a selected series of matches, with entries contributing to a pooled jackpot.
Rather than replicating the traditional sportsbook experience, Sports Pool is built around accessible gameplay. Players are not required to work through complex odds, pricing structures or implied probabilities, with low entry costs and a jackpot-focused format at the centre of the experience.
Honoré Gaming said the product has been developed to reach audiences that have historically been less engaged with sportsbook products.
Its launch supports the company's focus on developing products for emerging and football-centric markets, where lottery participation is popular but sportsbook adoption can face barriers.
Operators can also benefit from a consolidated view of GGR, with margins calculated across total wagering volume.
Thomas L., Chief Technology Officer at Honoré Gaming, said:
“Sports Pool is not a simplified sportsbook. It is a completely separate product targeting a completely different player. We are not cannibalising anything. We are opening a new door and giving operators a path to bring a new cohort of players onto the platform.”
