LeoVegas acquires Games Developer Push Gaming

LeoVegas which is owned by MGM Resorts International is now a majority stakeholder of award the award winning Slot Games Development Company

MGM Resorts International is set to enhance its igaming capabilities as LeoVegas, its subsidiary, has signed an agreement to acquire the majority of Push Gaming.

This move represents the first major investment made by LeoVegas since MGM Resorts acquired the group for $607m in 2022. The agreement is subject to regulatory and customary approvals, with the finalisation expected to occur during the third quarter of 2023.

Gary Fritz, President of MGM Resorts International Interactive, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating that it is consistent with MGM's vision of expanding its digital gaming presence internationally over the next few years.

He further remarked, “We are pleased to bring Push Gaming into our business as it brings a track record of developing games that are popular and have staying power in the industry, as well as an exceptional management and operating team.”

Push Gaming is renowned for creating more than 30 online casino games, such as Razor Shark, Wild Swarm, Big Bamboo, and Jammin’ Jars, and this acquisition will boost LeoVegas' production capabilities by leveraging Push Gaming's proprietary technology and intellectual property.

LeoVegas will also support Push Gaming's continued growth through expansion.

As part of LeoVegas, Push Gaming will continue to be led by the same management team, and its more than 100 employees will continue developing games that will be distributed via their own platform and remote gaming server.

LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman expressed his delight in welcoming Push Gaming to their extended family, commenting that the company's management team has had a fantastic journey, growing the firm from a small start-up to a significant player with outstanding proprietary content and a strong customer base.

He added, "We look forward to contributing to their continued success moving forward."
