Rhode Island to Introduce Online Casinos in March 2024
In six weeks, Rhode Island will join the ranks of the seven US states that allow legal online casino gaming.
Although it is allowed in the state, internet poker will not be available anytime soon. Additionally, there won't be any live dealer games for another month.
The Rhode Island Department of Revenue (RIDOR) spokesman, Paul Grimaldi, stated that the Ocean State would open its online casino on March 1. A part of RIDOR is the Rhode Island Lottery, which acts as a gaming regulator.
Based in Providence In addition to controlling the state's two land-based casinos, Bally's Corporation also has a monopoly on online gambling. Since September 2019, Bally's has powered the exclusive online sportsbook in the state.
It is unclear what the new gambling platform will be named, although Bally Casino is probably in the running. Grimaldi refrained from revealing the platform's name.
