Self-exclusion success

The findings follow this month's disclosure by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) that more than 20,000 customers had voluntarily asked to be excluded from gambling.

Players who sign up for the Casino Self-Exclusion Programme cannot visit casinos or retail sports betting locations and gamble there. The self-exclusion period for consumers can be one year, five years, or their entire lifetime.

Anyone who violates their ban by entering a gambling establishment risks being punished with criminal trespass and having their casino winnings taken away.

The state's self-exclusion programme was established in 2006, and on June 5, it recorded its 20,000th self-exclusion.

With ages ranging from 21 to 102, the list currently has 12,811 males and 7,189 females.
